In an electrifying showcase of automotive heritage and community spirit, M1 Concourse roared to life with the first M1 Cars & Coffee event of 2024. This Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury gathering drew nearly 2,000 vehicles to the premier destination for automotive enthusiasts. The event has again proven why M1 Concourse stands unmatched in the motor world and for Cars & Coffee and deserving of a USA Today’s 10 Best Cars & Coffee destination in the United States.
People Are Talking
Featured on WXYZ, the event’s vibrancy and community engagement were highlighted, emphasizing the critical role enthusiasts play in its success. As Tim McGrane, CEO of M1 Concourse, aptly put it, “If they don’t show up, we’ve just got a lot of coffee.” But show up they did, in droves, making the event a free, family-friendly affair that celebrated not just Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury but the broader tapestry of automaker excellence.
Gallons and Gallons of Coffee
Thanks to Rootless Coffee, the event was well-caffeinated, with over 100 gallons of coffee fueling the day. Their sponsorship ensured that attendees could enjoy top-quality brews as they mingled and marveled at the automotive displays.
Culinary Delights
Shred Restaurant‘s food truck was a hit, serving up delicious breakfast foods that kept energy levels high and allowed visitors to spend more time enjoying the event. Their Hazel Park location’s reputation for excellence and efficiency was on full display, adding a tasty layer to the day’s experiences.
Prizes and Surprises
Ziebart brought additional excitement with their spin-to-win wheel, raffle, and giveaways. Their onsite presence provided attendees with valuable insights into vehicle care, while displaying their expertise in services like interior and exterior detailing, ceramic paint coating, and more to keep cars looking their best.
A Victory Lap
A highlight of the event was the announcement of the Jared Goff Detroit Lions helmet winner, Steve S. from Clayton, MI. Steve was randomly selected from over 2,000 entries spanning over 30 days. His joy was a testament to the community spirit and the shared passion for automotive culture and sports memorabilia that M1 Cars & Coffee fosters.

Essential Information for Attendees
- Parking: Available on a first-come, first-served basis. Themed vehicles grace the Arena, while public parking spans around the track. Our friendly staff will guide you to the best spots. Remember, spot-saving is not an option, so plan your group arrivals accordingly.
- Entry: Gates open at Gate 1 (Woodward Ave.) and Gate 2 (South Blvd.), leading you right into the heart of the excitement.
A Family-Friendly Fiesta
Every first Saturday brings together Michigan’s finest cars and coffee aficionados for a showcase like no other. This event is a family affair, free for all to enjoy, emphasizing respect and admiration for the automotive wonders on display. Each gathering highlights a specific theme, with club members and matching vehicles taking center stage in the arena parking. All are welcome to partake in the trackside spectacle.
