The Checkered Flag Ball takes place annually during American Speed Festival to raise funds for the Pontiac Community Foundation through M1 Mobility, providing rides to almost 20,000 people in need. Rides include transportation we might take for granted – a trip to the grocery store, a visit to a medical appointment, as well as after-school and educational programs, etc.
Each year, the Ball gets bigger and better! In 2024, we honored “The King” of NASCAR racing, Richard Petty, with the Master of Motorsports Award. in 2025, we'll honor 2-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser, Jr.
Get ready for high-octane excitement as five of the top professional women in motorsports go head-to-head in a thrilling timed competition on the M1 Circuit.
Behind the wheel of five identical Radical race cars, these elite drivers will push the limits in two intense sessions each day on October 4 and 5. Precision, speed, and strategy will define the battle, with the driver posting the lowest combined best lap times over both days earning the coveted title of 2025 LROC Champion. Don’t miss this groundbreaking showcase of talent, performance, and fierce competition!
